Truth has it that liberal blogger MyKos worked for the Howard Dean campaign in 2003, and was apparently well-paid for it. Perhaps I was the only surfer in cyberworld who didn''t realize that fact. But perhaps I'm not alone in my ignorance.
It's not clearly disclosed on his website. It should be.
Bloggers are journalists, just as broadcasters and print reporters are journalists. If journalists are paid, they need to disclose that fact, because it could affect their objectivity. I want to know who journalists' employers and patrons are, so that I can accordingly judge the worth of their words.
MyKos and Armstrong Williams were both wrong to take funds from political figures, and not make that fact abundantly clear when writing on politics.
